The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse follows a group of four white theatre artists attempting to devise a culturally sensitive Thanksgiving pageant for Native American Heritage Month. Do they know anything about Native American culture or history? Not a bit. As the characters grapple with issues of political correctness, privilege, and representation, the production exposes the pitfalls of performative activism with humor and biting wit.
